1750s Floral & Relief Design Charger

This is a nice large serving bowl or charger made by Meissen in the mid 18th century. It is hand painted with a nice large floral arrangement in the center with a smaller flower next to it as well as four more smaller arrangements on the rim but my favorite part is the relief design to the paste in the shape of a flower and leaf garland around the central flower and in four spots along the rim which is called the Gotskowsky relief design. Typical brown trim to the edge. The plate is in superb condition with some minor wear. The piece is between 2.25 and 2.5 inches tall (a little odd from the firing which is normal on these early large peices) and has a diameter of 13 inches so a nice size. It is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as shown as well as an impressed 20. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
