Mid 18thC Floral Koeppchen & Saucer

This is an early teabowl shaped cup (aka Koeppchen ) and saucer made by Meissen in about 1750. Both pieces are hand painted with superb floral arrangements as well as three single flowers in the early Deutsche Blumen style. The colors and details of this early style are really nice. Much nicer than later ones. Both pieces have a brown trim to the rim. The set is in great condition with just a little wear - a couple of spots of the brown edge trim on the cup as well as to the flowers of the saucer - mainly the blue one which has some white spots from wear which were colored in slightly to hide them but not all that well. Could be improved upon! No chips, cracks, restorations, etc. The saucer is about 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The cup is 1.75 inch tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. Both pieces are marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as an impressed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
