1750 Large Platter

This is an early porcelain platter / serving dish made by Meissen around 1750. It is handpainted with a large floral arrangement on one side as well as a few smaller flowers and some little ones in the other area. Nice wavy rim with a brown trim. The platter is in remarkable condition given the size and age - a bit of wear mostly to the bottom of the large floral arrangement and some firing faults normal to pieces from this period especially on ones of this size. One chip to the footring as shown and one glaze chip to the edge. The piece is 2.5 inches tall and 15 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as an impressed number and four lines by the footring as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
