Miniature Gentleman w/ Muff Figurine

This is a superb and rare true miniature figurine made by Meissen in the 1750's. These are the earliest miniatures you can find by them and they are really fun pieces to look at and even though they are tiny they show the typical Meissen quality! The figure is of a gentleman dressed in a long pink coat, turquoise pants and white long socks as well as a tricorn hat. A well modeled piece and hand painted perfectly. The figure is in perfect condition with a tiny bit of wear to the paint of the shoe tip in the front and the edge of the bow in his hair in the back. Does not show at all when on display and is is in as good a condition as you will find. The figurine is 2.375 inches tall, 1.125 inches wide and 1.125 inches deep. He is marked on the back of the base as shown with the under glaze blue crossed swords. I also have the matching lady for him on the site. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
