Yellow Ground Floral Cup #2

This is an early cup and saucer set made by Meissen in about 1745. The cup is nicely painted with two very early Deutsche Blumen (still influenced by the woodcut style) style floral arrangements on white ground surrounded by a nicely shaped trim with the rest of the cup having a superb light yellow ground color. The simple handle shape has a flower along it as well and the top rim has a gold trim. Inside is a handpainted floral arrangement. The saucer is nicely handpainted with one larger floral arrangement as well as four smaller flowers scattered throughout with a gold trim to the rim. In this case the underside of the saucer is painted with that same yellow ground color which is very nice! The set is marked with an early version of the blue crossed swords underneath as well as an impressed number. The set is in superb condition with one minor glaze flaw on the cup. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter and the cup is 1.875 inches tall with a diameter of 3.25 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
