Militaria Plate #2

This is a really nice patriotic / commemorative under glaze blue painted plate made by Meissen in the early 20th century. It is a military type plate honoring the Infantry regiment Kaiser Wilhelm ( 2. Großherzoglich Hessen Nr. 116 celebrating of the centennial for the Giessen Garrison ) on their 100 year anniversary with the initials / monogram of Kaiser WIlhelm II and the dates 1813 and 1913. There is a crown over his initials and a really nice laurel leaf garland all along the edge. It's a great looking plate and not one you see often at all. Perfect for the collector of these types of plates. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as a blue painter's number and the usual impressed numbers as shown. First choice. It has two holes with a wire through it so one can hang it on the wall. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. The plate is in perfect condition but has a few tiny stray blue dots from when it was made. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $349
