1750 Miniature Chicken Figurine

This is a rare original period miniature female chicken aka hen figurine made by Meissen in the mid 18th century. A rare treat that is superbly modeled and hand painted to perfection with lots of detail. She is standing on a little base painted with some grass. The figure is in good condition with on chip to the back of the base by her left foot. Harrd to see and the piece displays perfectly. It is not marked underneath which is not unusual for these early miniatures but the quality leaves no doubt as to the maker and the underside is typical as well. The bird is 1.625 inches tall, 1.125 inches wide and 1.5 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
