Strawflower Bell

This is a rare bell made by Meissen in the 18th century. I think this is not the Marcolini mark but the one used early in the 18th century but either way it is a nice early bell and not something one sees often at all. The piece is hand painted with the under glaze blue strawflower design including two floral designs, one bug and a small flower as well as some nice blue trim to the handle and along the bottom edge. Really a fun piece! The bell is in superb condition with no real flaws except for those done when it was first made. There is a small glaze pop on the top of the handle and some impurities along the inside edge as shown where something like sand stuck to it during the firing process. The handle has a tiny hole in the top as shown. The inside is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords with a star below as well as a blue painter's mark. The clapper is made of wood with brass metal attaching it to the liitle porcelain ring on the top of the inside as shown. The bell is 4.125 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter.
