Woodcut Flower & Insect Saucer #2

This is areally nice early saucer made by Meissen in about 1740. It is hand painted with flowers in the early woodcut style before the Deutsche Blumen style took hold. A large rose to one side as well as a blue flower and a yellow one plus a large leaf and a tiny one likely to hide a firing flaw. Gold trim to the edge. The saucer is in great condition with a spot of wear to the leaf of the blue flower and a firing flaw to the udnerside only. Gold trim is fully intact which is unusual for this old a piece so it displays perfectly and looks amazing! The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark that are straight from around 1740 as well as an impresed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
