Girl Figurine

This is a figurine of girl made by Meissen in about 1750. She is standing on a pedestal that is decorated in relief with some nice detail including faces. On top of the pedestal there are some flowers and the lady off course. Superb pose and one of the best decorations I have seen on a Meissen figurine in quite some time. The bottom of the skirt especially! The figurine is in great condition for the age with some very good minor restorations I had done - the bow in her hair, the right foot, some small chips to the leaves, a small chip to a fold in her pink skirt and a little damage to the fingers - the right hand was missing the index finger and the left hand parts of the finger tips. She displays beautifully and is a superb example of Meissen from this period! The bottom of the base is flat and filled with only the air hole in it. There are no remnants of the blue crossed swords underneath but that is not uncommon in these early pieces. The figure is 6.125 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep.
