Reticulated Watteau Scene Plate

This is a great plate made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It is hand painted with a superb Watteau scene in the center including a couple with a column behind them in a landscape surrounding. The rim is unsual. It is reticulated with a lot of fancy gold trim to it some of which is on relief designs so it has a nice depth to it. I ahve no come across this rim design before. It looks stunning on display! The plate is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath (first choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers as shown. It is about 0.75 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
