Miniature Chicken Couple Figurine

This is a fun miniature figurine made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It's one of the more collected one - I wonder why. Must be guy humor or something :) It is of a rooster and a hen having some special fun. The figurine is superbly modeled and painted and in superb condition. It is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual incised marks for this period as shown. The figure is 1.5 inches tall, 1.25 inches wide and 3 inches long.
