A-Kante Sugar Dish

This is a porcelain sugar dish / lidded bowl made by Meissen around the mid to later 1930s. It is from their A-Kante design and is hand painted with a large polychrome floral arrangement to one side of the bowl as well as the lid with a small arrangement and a single flower to the other side of both pieces. Nice finial in the shape of a rose bud with a stem and a leaf. The edges of the main body and the lid have the cobalt blue and gold trim to the rim that gives this service its name. A nice looking piece that is in superb condition. It is 3.25 inches tall including the finial and 3.125 inches in diamter. The dish is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed numbers, etc. as shown. I also have the matching creamer up on the site if anyone is interested in both. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
