Silver Fox Figurine

This is a rare and superb figurine of a Silver or arctic Fox made by Meissen during the 20th century. First modeled by Erich Hösel this figurine is hand painted perfectly to look real. The fox is sitting on a white base to give it a nice contrast. The sitting version is much much harder to find than the standing one. Not sure why that is as both are really beautiful. The way the fox is modeled and hand painted is stunning! I love the black color which you don't see often in the porcelain worls. Most are much more colorful The figure is in perfect condition! The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed / incised marks as shown. The figurine is 7.5 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 5.5 inches long. I think it is one of the nicest animal figurines they made. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
