Angel Scene Box

This is a great late 18th century lidded box made by Meissen during the Marcolini period. It is nicely handpainted with a scene of two cute chubby angels in the clouds with some nice gold trim to the rims. The box is in great condition with the only flaw being that there seems to have been a more fancy gold trim to the bottom edge of the box which is now almost entirely gone and only the gilt line remains. No big deal as it displays superbly! One tiny chip to mostly the glaze on the inside rim of the bottom part. The box is 2.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 3.5 inches. It is marked with the blue crossed swords with the star underneath. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
