Miniature Elephant with Small As Is

This is a miniature elephant figure made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is one of my favorite miniatures they made since he is so obviously 18th century in terms of modeling - he has the human based ears since these were modeled without anyone having seen the real deal just from description. The ears stuck and are still modeled the same way these days and that makes these little guys quite charming! The elephant has his trunk up in the air with the two tusks sticking out the front. Painted just a bit to make this one perfect and fun little piece! The figurine is in great condition but the left tusk is slightly chipped in the front. Not very obvious at all and he displays perfectly from the other side. The figure is marked underneath with the under glazed blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed numbers as shown. The piece is 1.25 inches tall, 0.875 inches wide and 2.75 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
