B-Form Cookie Jar

This is a hard to find cookie jar / biscuit barrel / lidded container made by Meissen in the late 19th century. It is from the B-Form service and hand painted with scattered single flowers with a really nice gold trim on a raised design. The gold flowers are especially nice. The handle on the lid has a nice shape to it and some gilding as well. These are not easy to find especially in good condition! The size is perfect to use for any number of purposes. The lidded jar is in perfect codition with a scratch or two and some light wear to the top edge where the lid sits which is normal. it displays perfectly. It is about 7 inches tall including the finial and has a diameter of about 6.25 inches tall. The main body is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice), a painter's mark 43 and an impressed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
