Bird w/Restored Tail Figurine

This is a bird figurine made by Meissen in the 20th century. The figure is extremely well painted and modeled as one would expect from the top maker! The blue tit bird is sitting on top of a tree stump with a blue flower to the front and side, a leaf to the back and two spots where grass is painted along the base rim. My favorite part is that is has a branch growing in the front with its leaves attached. The figure displays perfectly but the tail as well as a laf or two have been superbly restored. Invisible unless you really know what to look for. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark, a painter's mark as well as the usual impressed marks as shown. The piece is 5.5 inches tall,1.75 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
