Blanc de Chine Elephant Figurine

This is a figurine of an elephant made by Meissen in the later 20th century. Originally modeled in the mid 20th century by the famous Erich Oehme it was left intentionally white to show off the pose and superb modeling. Oehme started out as an assistant at Meissen but made it all the way to artistic director. The piece has lots of amazing detail and looks quite real. The figure is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the under glazed blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual marks as shown. The piece is 6.75 inches tall, 7 inches long and about 2.5 inches wide. Price is $599
