Blue & White Bottle Stopper #2

This is a bottle stopper made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It is a simple form with a blue strawflowers / blue onion type design to the top and a bit of blue line trim. Simple but very elegant and it would go very well with any blue and white collection - strawflower or blue onion! The cork is attached with a metal rod stuck inside the porcelain and a metal plate at the bottom screws onot the rod. This one does not unsrwe and come apart so I cannot access the mark but since it's mate did come apart and was marked with the crossed swords I know they are made by Meissen. It's hard to find blue and white stoppers so it is a nice find! The cork is old and was used and has dried out but it is in decent shape and can be used as is. It's in better shape than the one on the other piece! The porcelain part and metal parts are all in perfect shape. The entire piece is 2.875 inches tall. The cork is 1.875 inches long and the porcelain top is 1.125 inches in diameter and 0.875 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $149
