Clobbered Saucer

This is an early saucer made by Meissen in the mid 18th century. It is hand painted with an udnerglaze blue design I have not seen before and was then decorated with polychrome colors above the glaze either at Meissen or by someone else. Hard to tell. It is a fun design and different than most one would ever find - quite interesting. The saucer is in superb condition for the age with just a bit of wear to the over glaze decoration. It is marked underneath with their under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the number 8 under it as well as some sort of impressed mark on the foot rinf - likely a number. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. It got a little out of shape during the firing as I tried to show in the alst picture. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
