Blue Onion Lidded Tankard

This is a fun lidded tankard made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is decorated with their famous blue onion / Zwiebelmuster design in under glaze blue all aroundand on top of the lid as well. It looks great and the lidded versions are rather hard to find. Nice sized version as well! The piece is in perfect condition. The bottom part is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the usual impressed marks one finds on Meissen of this period as shown. The entire tankard is 8 inches tall - 7 inches without the mounts that stick up quite a bit and 6.75 inches without the lid. It has a diameter of 4.25 inches.
