Blue Onion Mustard Pot & Spoon

This is a lidded mustard dish with spoon made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is nicely decorated with their famous and still popular blue onion design along the edge of the attached underplate, all around the barrel shaped container with a nice design to the edge of the lid and a superb floral finial with a flower and its leaves. The spoon is decorated with a simple flower to the end of the handle plus a blossom and simple line trim to the inside of the bowl. The spoon is marked underneath at the end of the handle with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as impressed numbers as shown. First quality and in perfect condition. The dish is in perfect condition as well and marked underneath as shown with it being a second choice piece. The spoon is about 4 inches long. The bowl has a diameter of 1 inch and is 0.5 inches deep. The dish is about 4 inches tall with the plate having a diameter of 6.25 inches. The barrel shaped dish is 2.75 inches tall with a diameter of 2.25 inches at the top. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
