Blue Onion Open Salt Dish

This is a nice little open salt dish made by Meissen in the mid 19th century. It is handpainted with the famous blue onion design. Nice shape to it with an oval bowl sitting on four column style feet. It is in great condition with a tiny flake to the top rim. The piece is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as a blue number and an impressed 84 and N57. There is a small firing crack underneath a bit above the mark (it is not a cut to mark it a second!). The piece is 1.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and just under 3.25 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
