Blue Albrechtsburg Scene Plate

This is a nice blue and white porcelain plate made by Meissen around 1900. Made in the Art Nouveau taste of the period it has a scene in the center in blue on a relief design of the famous Albrechtsburg - the site of where Meissen porcelain started. A nicely done scene with lots of detail and different shades of blue. The rim has a fancy design to the paste which is quite nice as well. An elegant plate that is a must have for the collector of Meissen porcelain. This plate is in perfect condition. It is 1.125 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed marks and two holes with a metal wire for hanging..
