Bluetit Bird Scene Plate

This is a really pretty plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century or early 20th century. It is hand painted with a detailed bird scene in the center including a bluetit type bird sitting on a nice branch with its leaves and pink blossoms. The rim has a nice shape to it and a basket weave design to the paste with gold trim to the edge as well as four bugs hand painted on it. The plate is in greatt condition with an almost chip to the foot ring as shown. It does not affect the piece at all and it displays perfectly! The dish is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers as shown. It is just over 1 inch tall and 8.25 inches in diameter. Price is $499
