Boettger Steinzeug Dachshund Figurine

This is a fun figurine of a Dachshund made by Meissen in the 20th century. It was first modeled Erich Hösel in 1935 and is made of Boettger Steinzeug ( stoneware ) which was the precursor to their porcelain and is rock hard. The figure is of a nice size and superbly modeled with lots of detail - I especially like the little collar. The piece is in perfect condition. It is 4.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 108 inches long. The piece is marked underneath with the impressed crossed swords mark as well as Böttger Steinzeug N.240 and another impressed number as shown. A nice early version of this model! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
