Nice Rose Scene Plate

This is a nice plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century. The center is hand painted with a superb rose deocration surrounded by a wide gold trim with three rose buds along the rim and another thin gold line around the edge of the plate. I have owned another palte in this pattern before where the roses were much more detailed and likely painted by Prof. Braunsdorf so I was surprised to see one with a very different type of rose painting yet the same design. A very attractive plate but sadly not by his famous hand :( The plate is in perfect condition with some very minor wear. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) underneath as well as two impressed numbers as shown. The palte is 1.25 inches tall and 9.375 inches in diameter so a nice size. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
