Canary Bird Figurine #1

This is a figurine of a yellow canary bird made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is nicely modeled and hand painted and a little more colorful and detailed than some of the others they made. This bird here looks straight ahead but they also made one that looks backwards. The bird is sitting on top of a tree stump that has a single elegant flower on the front and a leaf on the back as well as some grasses painted to the sides. The figure is in great condition with a small chip to the underside edge barely visible when on display (if you really look for it you can find it). Tried to show the top and side view but it is pretty small. It is marked underneath with the under glazed blue crossed swords mark (1st choice) as well as the usual impressed / incised numbers, etc. as well as a painter's number as shown. The bird is 4.125 inches tall, 1.75 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
