Candle Wax Drip Catcher

This is a bobeche or candle wax drip catcher made by Meissen in the late 19th or early 20th century I would say. A rare item to find in this pattern and on its own since it would normally have been part of a candlestick / candleholder . The piece has a nice shape to it with their famous strewn flowers pattern to one side in the form of small single hand painted flowers and a gold trim and just gold trim to a relief leaf design to the other side. The piece has a typical shape to it that is quite nice. So if your candle stick is missing this here is your chance to complete it! The piece is marked though hard to read with the under glaze blue crossed sowrds on the inside edge as shown. The piece is in great condition with a small chip to one of the points - hard to spot and it displays perfectly! The piece is about 0.75 inches tall with a diameter of just over 2.875 inches. The inner hole diameter is just over 1 inch. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $149
