Albrechtsburg Scenic Shoe

This is a superb and fun piece of porcelain made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It is in the form of a shoe / slipper which is handpainted very nicely with a turquoise ground color, a nice gold trim, a red trim by the soles and the best part - it has a superb handpainted scenes of the Albrechtsburg aka the castle where Meissen and the whole history of European porcelain started. The scene is extremely detailed and has a nice fancy gold trim around it. The scene has the castle in the background, the river in the middle with some boats in the front and even a steam boat which kind of dates the pieces quite nicely! The shoe is in perfect condition with a little wear to the underside and a firing spot on the right side inside. It is nice that this is the largest version of the shoe being 2.125 inches tall, 6.75 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark as shown.
