Chamois Scene Plate

This is a great plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century or early 20th century. It is handpainted with a superb scene in the center of a Chamois (a type of mountain goat / antelope) including some sort of pine tree branch as well as three bugs on the rim. Gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. The plate is in perfect condition and marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers of this period. It is 1.375 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
