Cherub w/Bow & Arrow

This is a figurine of a cherub / angel / Amor / Cupid made by Meissen in the mid 18th century or about 1750. Cupid is sitting on tree stump that forms the base and has some leaves and a flower attached as decoration. Cupid has a turquoise cloth around his mid section and is holding an arrow in his left hand with a quiver and bow in the back. These early figurines are amazingly modeled and hand painted. I wish they still made them this way today! The figure is in great condition with a restoration to the arrow and thenit broke above the hand again and was reglued. The bow is missing to the top end, the big toe of the left foot has been perfectly restored and some of the leaves are chipped. All in all as nice as they come, Wings, etc. are fine. The bottom of the base is flat and filled with only the air hole in it. Marked with the small blue crossed swords to the bottom back of the base. The figurine is 4.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
