Large Chicken w/Chicks Scene Plate

This is a really nice serving dish / bowl made by Meissen in about 1750. A really well made piece with a relief design to the rim broken up by four little bugs and a superb large bird scene in the center including a hen sitting on a nest with two chicks nearby. A really nice scene that is a bit different from the usual bird scenes. The chiecken are in a bit of a landscape with a tree to the back and some greenery to the side. Nice quality hand painting. Gold trim to the very edge. The piece is in superb condition with some minor wear. It displays superbly! The plate is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark on the underside as shown as well as an impressed number as shown. The bowl is 2 inches tall and 11.75 inches in diameter.
