Cobalt Plate with Polychrome Flowers / Gilding

This is a really nice plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century . The piece is hand painted with a panel in the center of the well of a floral arrangement on white ground surrounded by some fancy gold trim with the rest of the piece having a deep cobalt blue ground color, three small cartcouches of polychrome flowers on white ground along the rim and some more fancy gold trim surrounding them and along the edge. That blue and gold combination has to be among the very best in the porcelain world! Looks amazing. The dish is in superb condition as nice as they come which is always a plus! It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath (first choice) as well as the usual impressed number as shown. The plate is 1.125 inches tall with a diameter of just under 8.5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
