Cobalt Blue & Floral Demitasse Cup & Saucer

This is a superb small cup and saucer made by Meissen in the later 19th century. Demitasse or a child's cuo or for espresso or mocha coffee. Both pieces are hand painted with a panel of a superb floral arrangement on white ground surrounded by some fancy gold trim. The rest of the cup & saucer have a deep cobalt blue ground color and some more fancy gold trim all over. The outside rim and foot ring of the saucer has a gold line to it and the inside rim and bottom of the cup has a fancy gold trim to it as shown. The set is in perfect condition with some very very minor wear to the gilding. They displays perfectly! Both pieces are marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers as shown - first choice of course. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter and the cup is 1.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.5 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
