Cobalt Blue Floral Quatrefoil Cup

This is a superb cup a made by Meissen in the 20th century during the Pfeiffer period of 1924-1934. The cup has an amazing quatrefoil shape and that superb cobalt blue ground color with some fancy gilding around a polychrome floral scene to the front and back side. Simple gold trim to the top edge and along the foot plus a really nice handle shape with a bit of gold trim to that. Really a nice look and the quatrefoil shape is much harder to find and more elegant than the usual round pieces. The piece is in great condition without any chips, erstorations, etc. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dots between the tops as well as the usual impressed/incised numbers, etc. as shown. The cup is just under 1.75 inches tall, 2.875 inches wide with the handle adding another 0.625 inches and 2.625 inches deep. I do have a saucer on the site that makes a great fit though it has more fancy gilding along the edge than this cup. They look great together if you ant to make a rare set! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $449
