Cobalt Blue Reticulated Scenic Plate #1

This is a really stunning reticulated Watteau scene plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century. The piece is hand painted with a top notch scene in the center of a couple in a landscape surrounding with some nice gold trim around it. The edge has three panels of floral arrangements on white ground to it with the rest of the plate having a cobalt blue ground color - even the reticulated area which is uncommon. Superb gilding to the retiuclated as well. A truly amazing and elegant plate! The plate is in perfect condition which is always nice. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers of the period. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter.
