Colorful Scenic Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by Meissen in about 1765. It is superbly handpainted with a central scene of a lady holding a cup in a landscape surrounding with a fancy scrollwork / trellis design around it that is quite colorful and has rose garlands growing along it. Gold trim to the rim. The saucer is in great condition with some wear to the gold trim and a glaze starline near the lady's head. That is on the top glaze only and does not go through at all. Something one rarely sees on German porcelain much more common on English! The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. It is marked with the blue crossed swords mark underneath with the dot between the hilts and an impressed number near the footring. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
