Large King Cobra Cup & Saucer

This is a really fun large cup and saucer made by Meissen in 2013. Large enough for your morning coffee :) I could not find another one for sale and given the year mark underneath it I assume these were made for the Meissen club and thus are not common at all. The cup is hand painted in the Kakiemon colors with some colorful dots, a square and a four leaved clover with the best part being the King cobra snake to the front. The snake Is painted in purple, orange and gold and wearing an orange and gold crown. Just a fun design! Intertwined handle with a bit of gold trim to it with more gold trim to the nicely shaped top edge and around the foot ring. The saucer has the matching colorful dots and four leaved clover with the gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. Just a really fun cup and saucer all around and definitely a limited edition. The set is in perfect condition which never hurts either :) It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath (first quality) as well as the usual impressed and painted marks one expects from pieces of this period as shown. Year mark in gold and a tiny crossed swords mark on both near the foot ring. The cup is 2.75 inches tall and 3.875 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 6 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
