Dated Monogram Plate

This is a fun early dish made by Meissen in about 1759. The plate has a superb basketweave design to the paste throughout and is hand painted with some nice floral arrangements with smaller flowers scattered throughout. Some gold trim around two medallions and the edge. The best part is a central monogram in puce of MR under a crown with a leaf design underneath it. Definitely made for royalty or nobility! The dish is in perfect condition. It is 1.5 inches tall and 7.5 inches in diameter. The bowl is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark as shown. Price is $749
