Deer Hunt Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Meissen in the mid 19th century. Both pieces are handpainted with detailed scenes of a deer being attacked by two dogs on the saucer and probably the same deer being chased by the two dogs on the cup. Nice landscape surrounding and a superb gold and brown trim underneath the scenes. Small flowers scattered throughout the rest of the pieces and a gold trim to the rims and handle. The quality and style is very much 18th century but they are 19th century pieces. The set is in great condition with a some wear to mostly the gold trim on the rims. Both are marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark underneath with one line across on the cup and two across on the saucer but they are painted by Meissen for sure and of superb quality. The saucer also has an impressed 15 and N90 and the cup a number 7 and something I cannot make out. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
