Chinoiserie Bowl Candleholder

This is something a bit different :) The reason I bought it was that there is a tea bowl or Köppchen involved that was made by Meissen pre 1750. Hard to tell an exact date without seeing the udnerside but I suspect it is from 1735-45 but definitely not later than the mid 18th century. The teabowl is hand painted with a Kakiemon design reminicent of the Tischchenmuster in terms of colors and flowers but it includes an Asian lady which is superb! The porcelain cup displays perfectly but has had an expert restoration to a large chip on the backside which is not visible whatsoever. It was made into a spill or match holder type thing by combining it with an ormolu candle holder with porcelain flowers and a black laquer base highlighted with gilding. That part I would say is from the mid to late 19th century. All in all a really interesting setup. The one porcelain flower had some work done to it but otherwise the piece has no flaws and it displays superbly. No marks visible. The entire candleholder setup 6.5 inches wide, 4 inches deep and 3.625 inches tall. The tea cup is is It is about 1.5 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
