Max Esser Owl Figurine

This is a really fun figurine of an owl sitting on a gnarly old tree made by Meissen in the 20th century . The style and coloration means it has to be a rare design by the famous Max Esser who made so many really cool animal models for Meissen. I could not find this exact model but it fits his style. Either way the figure is superbly modeled with lots of detail and has that typical rust colorations hand painted on it with gold details to the base and black eyes. A truly amazing piece and the perfect size not to take up too much room. The figurine displays perfectly but one of the leaves has been reglued as shown. Not obvious at all unless you really look very closely at it. The figurine is 5.125 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. The figure is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers and letters as well as some black numbers as shown.
