Fancy Bruehlsches Allerlei Plate #1

The plate is a fancy plate made by Meissen in the early to mid 19th century. It has a rim design called Brühlsches Allerei as well as a hand painted fruit arrangement in the center which is much rarer than the flower ones one usually finds on these types of plates. My favorite part however is that super fancy trim around the well edge including the green ground with the black design with colorful scrolls around the edge and a couple of little single flowers as well. Off course it has the very fancy reticulated rim with lots of flowers and gold highlights which gives it its name. A bit more fancy than the usual kind. Each reticulated area is different with three that arehighlighted with different colros and designs with a gold design in the center and three more that are in the shape of a floral arrangement with each flower hand painted perfectly! The Bruehlsches Allerlei design is one of the nicest rim designs one can own by Meissen - it was originally made for Count von Bruehl . The edge has a gold trim to it. The plate is in superb condition with just a minor touch of wear. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed / incised numbers one find on Meissen of this period as shown. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter which is a very nice size.

Price is $1249
