Figurine Carrying Laterna Magica

This is a rare figurine made by Meissen in the later 20th century . Not a model one sees often at all. The figure is of agentleman playing the hurdy gurdy while also carrying a laterna magica ( magic lantern ) on his back. The gentleman is wearing a ncie outfit and standing on a base with gold scrolls around the sides, flowers to the top as well as a tree trunk. A very nicely modeled figurine with lots of details and off course lots of superb hand painting. The figurine is in perfect condition. It is 5.75 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The piece is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords mark with a line cut into the glaze under it denoting it being a second choice example. It also has the usual impressed marks as well as a painter's number 93 in red as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
