Water Element Fisherman Figurine #2

This is a really nice figurine emblematic of the element of water made by Meissen in the mid 20th century. Not a rare figurine by any means but what is very rare about this piece is that it is in almost in perfect condition - just a chip to the leaf of one of the grasses as shown. The piece is of a putto holding a fish in his upper hand, another fish in his lower hand, there is a primitive fish trap in front of him with two fish in it and a basket with its straps next to it that has a lobster in it. Two reeds growing out of the base which has lots of scrolls all around highlighted with gilding. This figure is one from the series of elements. I also have air and earth and fire listed if anyone is interested in the whole set.The figure is very well modeled and hand painted. It looks stunning on its own or even nicer in the set. The figurine is 4.25 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. It is marked with the crossed swords mark underneath the base (first choice) as well as the usual impressed / incised marks as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
