Floral Nutcracker

This is the holy grail of nutcrackers made by Meissen in the mid 19th century :) Nutcrackers are rather rare to begin with in this style but the Meissen ones are almost impossible to find and this decoration is the best of them! It is handpainted with two large floral arrangements on the front and back base, a few small flowers here and there, two larger floral arrangements on both knobs and a few small bugs which I always enjoy! Lots of nice gold trim all around! The piece is in superb condition with a little oxidation to the metal parts and a tiny amount of wear to the gold trim. The piece is about 5.25 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and 3.125 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark, a green painter's mark 31. and the usual impressed marks as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
