Fluegelmuster Plate

This is a really nice porcelain plate made by Meissen in the early 20th century during the original period for this design. It is hand painted with the famous Flügelmuster aka Wing pattern designed by Rudolf Hentschel around 1901. A stunning design that seems so simple but you try to come up with a classic like this :) One of the most popular 20th century designs by Meissen! The dinner plate is in perfect condition which some minor use marks. It is 0.875 inches tall and 10.375 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark (with two cuts across it so a second choice piece) as well as the usual impressed numbers, etc. of this period. Not sure why it was denoed as being a second choice. Nothing obvious to me. There is a blue number as well though I cannot quite make it out - maybe a 52 or 82. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
