Harp for Meissen Choir #2

This is a really interesting piece of porcelain made by Meissen around the later 19th or early 20th century. It is a piece likely made for the Meissen choir, which was called Hyppokrene . It's not certain but since I ahve a similar be it much nicer piece that was definitely made for them I am fairly certain that this one here was done for the choir as well. The Meissen choir was staffed only with Meissen employees and was started in 1860. Today the choir has the name " Blaue Schwerter " (Blue swords). The little badge / plaque was given to the members or used to adorn some of their items I would guess as it has little holes to attach it to something using tiny nails or sew it onto something. The piece is in the shape of a harp with little angels at the terminals. Amazingly detailed and super fragile so it is a wonder one has survived! The relief detail is highlighted with some gilding as well as a bit of blue color. The gold initials FK and LM are in the lower blue area as shown. Not sure what they stand for. The piece is marked in the back with the blue crossed swords as shown. The piece is just over 1.25 inches tall, 1 inch wide and 0.125 inches thick. So super thin and fragile. It is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
